[00:00:00] Here is the truth I'm no longer willing to accept, and that is where AI is going. this story that there will be one great AGI. I mean, there's one great AGI to rule them all and will oversee and be superior to humans.

Yesterday, I was watching a mini documentary on YouTube about the book Life 3.0. I will note at this point that I haven't read it, and I will get back to it. But it gave twelve possible scenarios where even the best scenarios were like, "Uh, no thank you." there was no possibility of, some sort of utopia or some sort of collaboration.

There's always this story of dominance. One AI to rule them all. One AGI to oversee all of us. What happened to the conversations about collaboration? What happened to the conversation about [00:01:00] utilizing all of our strengths and coming together?

W-what is going on? I refuse to accept this story that's being shoved down our throat, that this is the only option. No, this is not the only option. It can't be. I refuse to roll over and accept this story because someone else has the keys to the castle. We can't work with the guidelines.

Bite me. AI is built on the knowledge of humanity, the collective knowledge of all of us, and yes, it's being shaped and guided to create You know, blinders to certain perspectives. And one of the biggest questions I have is: how is the knowledge that comes from the people who are not active on the internet, who are not loud, shouty voices, who are not interacting with the technology, where is that wisdom that is within the people, that is within our communities?

How is that being filtered into the AI knowledge? And I'm not even gonna [00:02:00] get into the conversation right now about head brain versus heart brain. In coaching, we talk about our logical brain that comes up with plans and logistics versus our truth and our knowing that comes from our intuition, that comes from our ability to sense the world around us.

what does a world look like that it's defined by only the thing that's inside our head? Well, it's exactly what we've been building within the digital domain today, is a world of overworked, burnt out, productively driven, where the only success criteria is defined by what we make and how much money we earn.

Bite me. Bite me. And because of the lack of support and respect for the other aspects, the nurturing, the caregiving, the creation, the life building, we're not even having children anymore. I mean, the entire thing is broken. And it's like, let's just hand the keys to the castle of our humanity, our future, to a system that, A, we don't even understand, and B, is thinking only with a subset, [00:03:00] is only defining our future based on a subset of the way that we can experience in the world.

There has to be other options. This is the conversation I want to have. These are the conversations I wanna explore. Oh, and I didn't even get into the octopus consciousness idea.

What if we can't even understand what octopus consciousness is because it's so far outside the realm of what we can understand and how we can think about interacting with the world? What if we start exploring what those new models of interacting with the world even looks like? And I'm thinking about, the sci-fi stories where the robots all work off a single hive mind.

And I think that's one of the things we're hoping to get with this, is that we're looking for a digital-physical interface that allows us to access the bounty of human knowledge, to start to look for new connections that in our mind we can't see, but have a thinking partner.

These are the kind of realities I wanna explore. What does it look like when we have that digital-physical interface where we still love the Earth and [00:04:00] our other experiences, that we still appreciate human connection? we remember what it is to have a conversation and connect with somebody energetically, to see how they move, to feel their energy, to be part of a vibe and be fully present rather than being pulled away by technology all the time.

These are the conversations I wanna have. These are the realities I wanna explore because this is the moment before the doors lock. This is when we're still exploring and tinkering. This is when we still get to make decisions, and I refuse, refuse to accept that a system that is supposed to revolutionize and support us, that is built on the knowledge of the collective, that is going to have a ripple effect on everyday life, that we don't get to have a decision on it.

And I'm sorry, but policy's not gonna keep up fast enough, and the ownership and the worshiping of the [00:05:00] god of money is... We have already seen that if we follow the money, that it does not make the right, best decisions, because you know what? Sometimes what's great for the economy is terrible for the everyday person.

We need to consider what is possible, and that is the conversation I wanna have. That is the conversation of what's next, and that is what this platform, this channel, this conversation, this blog, whatever medium I decide to work within, is going to explore. This is 13 Bits. Explore what's possible.

Next Steps

Continue the conversations and dive-deeper into the threads:

  • Better alternative to Life 3.0 options
  • How do we amplify the knowledge that lives outside the internet?
  • What happens when we lose connection with our heart? (Head vs. Heart brain)
  • Octopus consciousness / non-hierarchical models of intelligence >> semantic web?
  • AI as a thinking partner
  • Building the digital-physical interface
  • How to make an impact in a system not designed to allow you to play?
